Sporting News Names Pritchett Midseason All-American

MOBILE, Ala. – The Sporting News named South Alabama wide receiver Jamaal Pritchett to its Midseason All-America Team Friday morning.
 
Pritchett is the leading receiver for the Jaguars so far this season with 573 yards and six touchdowns on 39 catches. The senior averages 14.7 yards per reception, 81.9 yards per game and owns a long reception of 75 yards, which resulted in a touchdown. Pritchett is also a force in the punt return game as the Jackson, Ala. native has returned eight punts for 196 yards and a touchdown. His 21.9 yards per return average leads all of college football.
 
Pritchett has helped South Alabama earn three wins on the season, including two wins in Sun Belt Conference play and a victory over rival Troy to win the Battle for the Belt. Pritchett owns two, 100-yard receiving yards for the season and has scored touchdowns in five of seven outings.
 
Pritchett and the Jaguars will host ULM in their homecoming game on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Hancock Whitney Stadium. Kickoff against the Warhawks is at 4 p.m. CT and the game will be streamed on ESPN+. Tickets are available for purchase at USAJaguars.com/tickets/football. USA will also host its Hall of Fame induction ceremony that morning at 10 a.m. CT at the Moulton Bell Tower on campus.
