The four-part series examines each position group ahead of the season-opening tournament, the NFCA Leadoff Classic in Clearwater, Fla. This installment looks at South Alabama's outfielders.

Mackenzie Brasher (Gr., 5-5) – Started all 53 games in centerfield where she was third on the team in batting with a .309 average

Bailey Welch (Sr., 5-6) – Was solid defensively in the outfield with a .980 fielding percentage and did not commit an error in her 55 defensive chances in SBC games

Brooklyn Bockhaus (So., 5-7) – Started eight of the 15 games she played, mainly seeing time in left field

Gracie Tentinger (Jr., 5-8) – Earned First-Team JUCO All-American honors after batting .514 with 107 hits, 74 runs scored and 232 total bases, and leading the nation in home runs (38) and ranking second in RBI (106)

Amity White (Fr., 5-3) – Earned AISA first-team all-state honors after she batted .450 with 19 doubles, nine triples, three homeruns, and 43 stolen bases as a junior

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
- Brasher – a three-time all-Sun Belt selection - had 12 multi-hit games a year ago, which were fourth-most on the Jaguar roster and her 10-game hit streak during the season was tied for the longest on the club
She was one of three players on the team to record 50 hits during the year, while scoring 39 runs and driving in 13. Her 27 stolen bases – 17 of which came against league foes – led the club and were third-most in the Sun Belt
