CHOUDRANT, Lou. - Freshman Joshua Hill completed his first collegiate golf tournament three-under-par (72-70-71—213) to end tied for 12th in the Argent Financial Classic. Sophomore Hugo Thyr ended just behind him one-under-par, tied for 19th place.
Southern Miss, Louisiana, and UAB competed in a playoff, where Southern Miss was crowned champion.
In total, South Alabama finished with a team score of 880 (294-295-291) and finished in 15th place.

- Hugo Thyr fired off an eagle during his first round, one of only 18 competitors to do so.
- Joshua Hill birdied on four of his last six holes in round three to catapult him under par for the tournament.
- Hill finished with 14 birdies, most among his team, followed by Thyr with nine.
