MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama soccer team announced its 2023 schedule on Thursday, which includes two SEC opponents and 11 home contests at The Cage.

The Jags will start the fall slate with two exhibition matches, hosting in-state opponents Samford on Aug. 7 and Auburn on Aug 12.

South will open the regular season on the road in Thibodaux for the Nicholls Tournament, facing Nicholls on Aug. 17 and Alcorn State Aug. 20.

The Jaguars' home slate will begin with the South Alabama Tournament, where the Jags will welcome in Queens on Aug. 24 and Kennesaw State on Aug. 27.

South hits the road the next weekend, traveling to Lamar on Friday, Sept. 1 and McNeese State on Sept. 3.

The squad returns to The Cage the next week, hosting Mississippi State (Sept. 7) and UAB (Sept. 10).
Â
South's Sun Belt Conference slate starts in Hattiesburg, where the Jags will face Southern Miss on Sept. 17, before returning to Mobile to host the 2022 regular season champions, Georgia Southern, on Sept. 21.

The Jags hit the road the following week, traveling to Marshall on Sept. 24. South then has a week off before traveling to ULM on Oct. 1.

South is back in town the next Thursday, hosting Appalachian State on Oct. 5, then they travel to in-state rival, Troy, on Oct. 8.

The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns will come to Mobile on Oct. 15, and then South will hit the road for the final time of the regular season on Oct. 19, traveling to Coastal Carolina.

South wraps up the regular season at The Cage, hosting Texas State (Oct. 22) and Arkansas State (Oct. 26).

Postseason play will take place in Foley, Ala., with the 2023 Sun Belt Women's Soccer Championship starting on Monday, Oct. 30.

All home matches will be held at The Cage and admission is free.
