MOBILE, Ala. – Former South Alabama midfielder
Danielle Fuentes signed a professional contract with Club Nexaca, the club announced Wednesday. The club is based in Aguascalientes, Mexico, and plays in the Liga MX Femenil.

Fuentes jumped right into the Club Nexaca lineup, earning her first start with the club's U-20 squad on July 19.

Fuentes played for South Alabama for three seasons, appearing in 50 games, making 43 starts. She totaled 10 goals and 10 assists during her time as a Jaguar. In her senior season, Fuentes scored two goals and led the Jaguar squad with six assists.

Fuentes ended her career at South Alabama tied for fifth in program history for points in a game with eight and tied for seventh in goals in a game with three.

Before her time at South Alabama, Fuentes spent two years, where she was named All-conference second team in the American East (2019) and named to the all-rookie team (2018) at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County.
