Richard Moodie announced Friday the addition of two transfers to the Jaguar roster - Chiara Singarella and Melina Descary.
Chiara Singarella – Midfielder/Forward
Mendoza, Argentina
Instituto Santa Maria Goretii – Kennesaw State
Transfer from Kennesaw State where she played one season … Appeared in 14 games while starting 10 … Scored her first collegiate goal and recorded an assist in a 2-1 win over Presbyterian … Totaled three or more shots in four separate games … Finished the season ranked third on the team in shots (23) and second in shots on goal (13)
Graduated from Instituto Santa Maria Goretii in 2021 … Played club soccer for Independiente Rivadavia as an attacking midfielder, where she won three-consecutive championships
Played for the Argentina national team in both soccer and handball ... Participated in the South American Games in 2018 .... named to 2017 Dream Province Team ... selected to the Argentina team for both South American U-20 and U-17 Tournaments
Melina Descary – Midfielder
Greenfield Park, Quebec, Canada
Ecole Secondarie de Mortagne – Florida State
Transfer from Florida State where she played in 10 total matches as a freshman … Recorded her first collegiate appearance against Florida, where she totaled one shot on goal … Recorded two shots in a 5-0 win over Rice … 2022 ACC Champion and semi-finalists in the NCAA College Cup
Played club soccer for FC Laval in Quebec for two years as a midfielder … Played for Eagle FC's 2023 USL W League team in summer 2023
Member of the Canadian National Team Camp in 2018 … Received the Ballon d'or Award at her Club of Brossard in 2020
