QUOTED:
Head Coach Chris Hennessey:
  • "Credit to [Georgia Southern] – three games in six days is not easy. I thought that other than the last 15 minutes of the first half, they played a really, really good game. They had concentration at the back and commitment to being composed on the ball. Georgia Southern is a very good team – really well-coached. Overall, for three quarters of the game, we stuck to the game plan and scored three really good goals [and had] good movement, good thought and good ideas. We have another game in a few days. [We will] get ready for that and enjoy this win, [as] it was a lot of pressure in many different ways. Very, very, happy right now and proud of the group."
Sofia Ferrante, Forward:
  • "I think [we won] because of effort and grit. This group, we've gone through a lot of adversity, and it's coming together. I think we fought for each other today, and it really showed."

UP NEXT:
The Jags will face Louisiana Tech for their regular-season finale at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 1, at Robert Mack Caruthers Field in Ruston, La.
