MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama men's tennis remains in the Intercollegiate Tennis Associate (ITA) rankings, coming in at No. 7 in the Southern Region, the organization announced Friday. In addition to the team ranking,
Sebastien Collard is ranked No. 13, while the doubles duo of
Jack Clements and
Louis Delcour are ranked No. 5.

The Jags wrapped up the 2023 slate with a 17-8 dual match record, going 7-1 in Sun Belt action while posting a 9-0 record at home.

South Alabama finished the year ranked No. 62 in the overall ITA rankings, the highest end-of-season ranking since 2019. The Jags were also ranked No. 23 in the ITA mid-major poll, the organization announced June 1.

Sebastien Collard finished his senior season with a 16-7 dual match record, all from the number one singles spot. Collard was named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year, after winning the same award in 2022.

The doubles partners of Clements and Delcour posted a 2-2 record in dual match play after going 8-1 in the fall. The duo then earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Doubles Championships but fell in the round of 32.Â

South Alabama is one of three Sun Belt Conference teams ranked in the ITA Southern Regional rankings, with Louisiana coming in at No. 9 and Troy No. 10.
