MOBILE, Ala. – The South Alabama track and field teams are travelling to Mississippi this weekend to participate in the 2023 Maroon & White Invite, hosted by Mississippi State in Starkville.
 
This is the final meet before the Sun Belt Conference Championships to be held on May 11-13 in Conway, S.C.
 
The teams taking part in the meet are: Alcorn State, Arkansas State, Jacksonville, Louisiana, Louisiana Tech, Marion Military Institute, Meridian CC, Mississippi State, New England, South Alabama, Southern Miss, UAB and ULM.
 
Events on Friday begin with the hammer throw at 9:30 a.m. Field events continue until the long jump at 6 p.m. Running events on Friday begin at 6 p.m. and continue until 7:50 p.m. On Saturday, field events begin at 11:00 a.m. The meet concludes with the 4x400-meter relays at 4:55 p.m.
