MOBILE, Ala. | The South Alabama women's golf team will compete in its final regular-season tournament this week when it participates in the ULM Invitational. The two-day, three-round event hosted by the Warhawks will be held at Bayou Desiard Country Club.
The nine-team field will begin with a shot gun start on Monday and is scheduled to play 36 rounds, before closing out the tournament on Tuesday with a final 18 rounds on the 6,082-yard, par-72 course.
Along with South Alabama, the rest of the tournament field includes Sun Belt Conference members ULM, Arkansas State and Southern Miss, along with Houston Christian, Missouri State, Sam Houston State, Stephen F. Austin and Texas A&M-Commerce.
South Alabama's lineup will feature
Carlota Garcia playing in the one spot, followed by
Greta Rietdorf,
Laura Burch,
Cassidy Lambert and
Malia Uyeshiro.
The Jags last competed at the event during the 2018-19 campaign where they finished second out of a nine-team field, recording a two-round 597 after the third round was cancelled due to weather. Five Jaguars recorded top-15 finishes.
Lexi Worrell,
Julie Hovland,
Siti Shaari, and
Caroline Berge shot a five-over-par 149 to tie for eighth, while senior
MacKenzie Peyton's six-over-par 150 total tied for 14th individually.
