NEW ORLEANS, La. – For the fifth time this season, a Jag has earned conference honors as senior
Sebastien Collard of Jaguar men's tennis was named the Sun Belt Player of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon. The honor is the third of his career and his second of the season.
Collard went 2-0 in singles matches over the weekend, while both of his doubles matches with partner
Martin Bugaj went unfinished.
On Sunday against Pol de Castillo of Georgia Southern, Collard won in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3. In Monday's match, Collard got another straight set win, this time it was a 6-2, 6-2 win over Gabriele Datei of Georgia State.
Collard is now 7-0 in conference play and is on a seven match winning streak. He is also the only undefeated No. 1 singles player in the conference.
Collard is 13-6 in singles play this season, all from the number one spot.
