Five seniors are listed among the 2023 South Alabama softball roster, and each Monday throughout the season, one will give fans a view through their eyes as they recap the previous week. On tap this week is catcher Emma Kropp.

Monday
Today was our off day and I used it to get my school work done and clean up my room before the busy week! I had a test on Tuesday so I spent most of the day studying for that. I also had FCA later Monday night.

Tuesday
I started off the day by going to class at 8 am, and then again at 9:30. Right after class we had weights, then I had a hitting group, and then I had a bullpen with Jenna (Hardy). Once my bullpen was over, I worked on my paper that was due that night. We were supposed to start out series with Louisiana on Thursday, but we found out that it was moved back a couple of days due to some predicted weather.

Wednesday
Today was my birthday!! I went and got coffee with a couple of my teammates, Bailey (Welch) and Vic (Ortiz), and then headed to the field for practice. After practice, I had a birthday dinner with the team at Taco Mama and it was so much fun!! 

Thursday
I have class on Tuesday's and Thursday's at the same time, so I started off today the same way I started Tuesday, with class. After class, I went to a coffee shop to work on some more homework before practice. After practice I headed home to pack and get ready to leave on Friday for our weekend series at UL. 

Friday – Travel Day
Today, we had practice before leaving for Lafayette. Once we got on the bus I got some stuff done for a scholarship I am hoping to get for Chiropractic school. After finishing that I hung out with my teammates. When we got to the hotel we ate dinner and then got ready for game day the next day! 

Saturday – Game Day!! 
With our series being moved back, we played a doubleheader against UL. We ended up losing both games, but we know we are able to compete with this team, so we are ready to bounce back tomorrow. My dad came this weekend, so I was able to hang out with him a little bit before I went to bed! 

Sunday – Game Day Again!! 
We came up short and ended up getting swept, but we got to go to church as a team for Easter and it was really nice! This coming week we play four game, so there is room to recover and get better.
