MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama dropped another weekend series after losing both games of a double-header to Louisiana on Saturday, 22-5 and 10-6, at Eddie Stanky Field.

After going ahead, 2-1, after two innings in the first game, the Jags (9-15, 1-5 Sun Belt) were unable to get much going, and the Ragin' Cajuns (18-7, 5-1 SBC) scored 11 unanswered runs to pull away.

Game two was tied after five innings, 6-6, but the Cajuns scored in the top of the sixth when Kyle DeBarge beat the throw home on an RBI fielder's choice from Heath Hood and never looked back.

HOW IT HAPPENED – Game One
- (B1) Hood hit a sacrifice fly to right field to score DeBarge, Louisiana 1-0.
- (B2) Micah Morgan started things for the Jags with an RBI single, scoring Joseph Sullivan. The scoring continued with another RBI single from Erick Orbeta through the left side to score Trey Lewis. South Alabama 2-1.
- (T3) The Cajuns hit two two-run homers, from John Taylor and Julian Brock, to retake the lead. Lousiana 5-2.
- (T6) Louisiana scored seven runs in the sixth, thanks to a two-RBI triple from Taylor, a solo home run from Hood, and three-run blast from Will Veillon and an RBI from Carson Roccaforte. Louisiana 12-2.
- (B6) Lewis hit a solo home run over the left field wall to pull one back for the Jags. Louisiana 12-3.
- (T7) The Cajuns scored four more in the top of the seventh. Roccaforte notched his second RBI on an infield single, then Caleb Stelly scored on a wild pitch. Taylor came home on a bases-loaded double play, then CJ Willis cleared the infield on an RBI single to center field to score Roccaforte. Louisiana 16-3.
- (B7) Sullivan blasted a two-run homer over the right field wall, scoring Tyler Borges. Louisiana 16-5.
- (T9) Luke Yuhasz hit a single through the left side with the bases loaded to bring home Landrey Wilkerson and Roccaforte. Mason Zambo followed that up with a homer to right center, scoring Yuhasz and Willis. Stelly finished the scoring with an RBI single to left field, bringing around Peyton LeJeune. Louisiana 22-5.

HOW IT HAPPENED – Game Two
- (T1) Brock hit his second home run of the day, this one over the center field wall, to score Roccaforte and Hood. Louisiana 3-0.
- (B1) JG Bell hit a single to center field, then used three wild pitches to make his way around the bases and score. Louisiana 3-1.
- (T3) Brock scored his second run of the day of an RBI double by Veillon. Louisiana 4-1.
- (B3) After Orbeta doubled to right field, Will Turner made it over the wall in right, knocking his first home run of the game. Louisiana 4-3.
- (T5) Hood scored on a sacrifice fly from Taylor. That was followed by Veillon scoring Brock on a squeeze play at the plate. Louisiana 6-3.
- (B5) The Jaguars tied it up with three runs in the bottom of the fifth. Turner got it started with his second home run, this one a solo shot to right center field. Colson Lawrence walked with the bases loaded to bring around Cole Ketzner, then Sullivan scored on a groundout to second by Hunter Donaldson. South Alabama 6-6.
- (T6) Kyle DeBarge beat the throw home from third on a fielder's choice from Hood, Louisiana 7-6.
- (T8) The Cajuns scored three unearned runs by DeBarge, Roccaforte and Hood to add some insurance to their lead. Louisiana 10-6.
