MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama track and field travels for their first split-meet weekend of the season, as they travel to Raleigh, N.C. for the Raleigh Relays and the Battle on the Bayou in Baton Rouge, La.

Five distance runners from South Alabama will compete in the Raleigh Relays;
Adele Magaud,
Lauren Tinkler,
Starlynn Costa,
Kirami Yego and
Teagan Flanagan.
Â
The rest of the athletes will compete at the Battle of the Bayou meet, hosted by LSU. Other teams competing at the meet include: Nicholls State, Southeastern Louisiana,
South Alabama, Southern University, Louisiana-Lafayette, New Orleans and ULM.

NOTES
- This is the first split-weekend of the season for South Alabama track and field.
- A Jaguar athlete holds the top mark in the Sun Belt in five different events this season – women's discus, women's shot put, women's long jump, men's 400-meter hurdles and women's 1500 meters.
- One school record has already been broken this season, when Colette Uys set a new mark in the women's discus with her effort of 53.24 meters at the Jaguar Throws/Pole Vault Opener.
