NEW ORLEANS, La. – For the second week in a row, a Jag has earned conference honors as senior
Sebastien Collard of Jaguar men's tennis was named the Sun Belt Player of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon. The honor is the second of his career and he is the third Jag to earn the honor this season.
Collard posted a 4-0 weekend to open conference play, going 2-0 in both singles and doubles, not dropping a set throughout the weekend.
Collard opened the weekend with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Younes Lalami of No. 75 Old Dominion at number one in singles, while him his partner
Martin Bugaj issued the Old Dominion duo of Luca Laldoner Jakob Cadonaua 7-6 defeat.
On Sunday, Collard beat Holden Koons of James Madison 6-1, 6-3 and him and Bugaj won 6-3 over Julian Lozano and Edson Sanchez of James Madison.
Collard is 8-6 in singles play this season, all from the number one spot.
