NEW ORLEANS, La. – Maxime St-Hilaire of South Alabama men's tennis was named the Sun Belt Men's Tennis Player of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon. The honor is the third of St-Hilaire's career and the second this season.
St-Hilaire came out of last week with a ranked singles win in the match against No. 60 Miami, but dropped his match against No. 63 Florida Atlantic. St-Hilaire defeated No. 76 Martin Katz of Miami 6-2, 7-5.
Playing from the number one position in doubles, St-Hilaire and partner
Jack Clements defeated Juan Martin Jalif and Martin Vergara of Miami 6-2, but fell in doubles action against FAU 4-6.
St-Hilaire has started spring action with a 10-3 record in singles, with six wins at number two and four from number three.
