MOBILE, Ala. | South Alabama returns home to Eddie Stanky Field on Tuesday night for a midweek contest presented by Accelerated Accounting, hosting No. 24 Alabama with a 6:30 pm first pitch.

South Alabama (8-8) will send sophomore right hander Mitchell Heer to the mound on Tuesday night for his second collegiate start. He has yet to factor into a decision this season and has recorded a 3.18 earned run average while doubling as a position player. He will face Alabama's Luke Holman who enters at 3-0 with a 1.93 earned run average.

Will Turner leads the Jags at plate with a .419 average and has a 19-game on-base streak that dates back to last season, while also collecting 11 extra base hits including eighth doubles. He has scored 12 runs and knocked in a team-high 19. Colson Lawrence is hitting .327 with a team-high four home runs and 13 runs batted in, while Joseph Sullivan is at .311 with a pair of home runs.

Out of the bullpen, Sam Knowlton (1-0) leads the team with a 1.93 earned run average, while Grant Wood (3-0, 3.37 ERA) has recorded a team-high two saves.
