QUOTABLE
Acting head coach Dan Presel:
"I felt like we had a pretty good start to the game, we had a good rhythm and a good flow. We were able to move the ball well and get a lot of quality looks. We didn't convert as well as you need to against a good team at their place. In the second half, they clearly came out with a mission. I'm sure they were challenged by their coach at halftime. They're a team playing for the Sun Belt title. They are currently around the top of the standings. We told our guys at halftime to be ready for a response by Southern Miss. Good teams always have a response. We were unable to match their energy, their effort, their pace and they played with better energy and a better spirit in the second half."
