QUOTABLE
Associate head coach Dan Presel:
On the ability to hold on to the win:
"That's been the hurdle for us. We've been talking to our guys about it a lot. You've got to take steps throughout the season, and you never stop improving. Our hurdle has been adversity in tough times, sometimes we shrink, and we don't do it together. Today, we told them in every huddle, we've got to do this together. To our credit, I think we took a step today."

On what it's going to take to perform consistently:
"We are still building belief. I think we built a little more belief today, and I think you build belief by doing things together, so hopefully, we can continue to build belief and we can take the good lessons and the bad out of this one to move forward. We told them in the locker room that we can play much better basketball. We were fortunate enough to get good looks today, we didn't make as many as we could have. There's a lot more good basketball in us than what we've been showing, we've just got to keep taking it one step at a time and it's never too late, we've just got to get better every time we get together."

Freshman Michiyah Simmons:
On the win:
"Today's win was about trusting each other and just staying disciplined to our assignments and just getting stuff done."

On her performance:
"I felt like my shot was off, so I was just attacking the basket and getting my teammates involved first, and then the lane opened up for me, so that was my opportunity to get to the basket, get buckets and draw fouls."

On what it's going to take to perform consistently:
"We have workouts through the week working on finishing, so I think that played a big part in how I played today, it's been helpful."
