MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama men's tennis looks to get back in the win column this week, hosting New Orleans for a match Friday at 1 p.m.

The Jags dropped their lone match over the weekend, falling to No. 15 Florida State in Tallahassee.

 While the Jags dropped the match, South got three wins on the day, winning the doubles point with wins from duos of
Jack Clements/
Maxime St-Hilaire and
Martin Bugaj/
Javier Montoya. Bugaj was the third win of the day, with a ranked win over #71 Jamie Connel of Florida State.

Bugaj's strong performance last weekend eanred him the honor of Sun Belt Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week, the first of his career.

Bugaj is perfect in singles this season, posting an 8-0 record so far, with his wins coming from number four and number five. St-Hilaire is 7-2 on the season, with three wins at number two and four at number three.

The doubles duo of
Jack Clements and
Louis Delcour are ranked No. 27 by ITA, the highest ranked Sun Belt Conference duo, while New Orleans is host to the No. 33 ranked team in Espen Lagarde and Marcel Volz.

New Orleans is 3-2 on the season, dropping matches against UTSA and UC Santa Barbara.

South is 17-2 all-time against New Orleans, with the last loss coming in 2009. The Jags currently have a four-match winning streak against New Orleans, and is looking to extend the streak to five.
