MOBILE, Ala. | South Alabama men's basketball (7-9, 1-3 SBC) continues their time at home with two more matchups this week. The Jaguars will host Sun Belt newcomer James Madison (11-6, 2-2) Thursday evening, followed by the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns (12-4, 2-2) on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Jaguars are coming off a 1-1 week, which saw a win over Arkansas State and a 14-point second half comeback against Texas State that fell just short.
 
This will be the fifth matchup all-time between the Jags and the Dukes. South Alabama and Louisiana will face-off for the 60^th time, with the Jags holding a slight advantage in the overall series.

• Kevin Samuel is the Division I active career leader in rebounds with 1,202.
• He is tied with former Hartford player Kenny Adeleke at #42 on the list of career rebounding leaders (since 1985). He needs six to enter a tie at #40.
• Samuel is averaging 2.4 blocks per game, good for third among Sun Belt players.
• He has 340 career blocked shots, second-most among active players (KC Ndefo, Seton Hall, 348).
• Samuel's 340 blocks rank #50 on the list of career blocks leaders (since 1985). He needs four more to pass A.J. Hammons (Purdue) into #49.
• Kevin Samuel is one of four players to be top-50 in both blocks and rebounds since 1985 – Tim Duncan, Shelden Williams and Shaquille O'Neal.
• He needs eight more blocks to enter the top-10 for most blocks in a single season in South Alabama history.
• Greg Parham II has one of the seven 30-point performances by a Sun Belt player this season (Carlos Curry [GS], Jordan Brown [Louisiana], Taevion Kinsey [Marshall], Austin Crowley [Southern Miss], Tyreek Scott-Grayson x2 [ODU]).
• Isaiah Moore was named the SBC Player of the Week on Nov. 29, the first Jaguar player to win the award this season.
• Moore led the Jaguars in scoring in seven straight games, reaching the 20-point threshold in four.
• His five 20-point outings are tied for fourth-most among Sun Belt players.
• In the game against New Mexico, Isaiah Moore recorded 13 assists, tied for fourth-most in program history for a single game. It was also the first time a South Alabama player has recorded 10+ assists since 11/19/18.
• Owen White is one of 18 Division I college basketball players who are married.
• White set a new career-high with 4 steals against Arkansas State.
• The win against Robert Morris was the first time two Jaguars have scored 20+ points in the same game this season (Moore & Samuel).
• South was picked to finish third in the Sun Belt preseason poll. The Jags finished fifth in the conference last year with a 9-7 record. 
• The Jaguars placed two players on the Preseason All-Sun Belt teams. Kevin Samuel was named to the first-team, and Greg Parham II was voted to the second team.
