Head coach Nick Brochu:
"Good day. We always try to start strong, and I think we did that this morning by winning five out of six doubles. The only doubles we lost was in a tie breaker, and I'm glad about the way we competed. We played to big points. We were aggressive at the rights times, and I'm very happy with the guys. It was hard going into singles because it was so hot. Being in the sun all day, you have to be in great shape, and you must be willing to fight through fatigue, and I think the guys did that. Winning four to six singles is great. I'm very happy today, but the test is tomorrow. Everybody is a little sunburned and dehydrated so tonight we have to do a good job at rehydrating, resting, stretching, and getting ready tomorrow. There are no excuses. Fatigue is not an excuse. We have to go big again, especially since we are going to be playing two singles. I am definitely looking forward to that. "
