MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama women's golf will compete in the Hoover Invitational Sept. 19-20 at Hoover Country Club in Hoover, Ala.
The two-day, 54-hole event, hosted by UAB, will play at par 72 from 6,019 yards. South Alabama will compete against UAB, Belmont, Memphis, Southern Miss, North Alabama, Jacksonville, Southern Illinois, Samford, Northern Colorado and Alabama for the tournament title. Live scoring for the tournament will be available at Golfstat.com.
The Jaguar lineup will feature
Malia Uyeshiro playing in the No. 1 spot, followed by
Carlota Garcia,
Greta Rietdorf,
Catharina Lohoff and
Laura Burch, while
Cassidy Lambert will play individually. The tournament will kick off on Monday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Uyeshiro and Garcia will tee of from HCC's first hole, while Rietdorf will begin her round at hole No. 2, Lohoff on No.3 and Burch at the fourth hole. Lambert will start her round at the 17th tee.
South Alabama earned a runner-up finish at the Jaguar Invitational Sept. 3-5 at RTJ at Magnolia Grove in Mobile. The Jags turned in a program-record 11-under par 277 in the opening round of the tournament, and also finished with a three-round total of 855, which marked the lowest three-round total in program history. Lohoff and Rietdorf each finished tied for sixth place after each carded a 4-under par 212 in the event.
