LOS ANGELES | South Alabama football heads to the state of California for just the third time in school history, facing UCLA at the Rose Bowl on Saturday in its final non-conference road game of the season.
The game kicks at 1 pm (CT) / 11 am (PT) and will be carried on the Pac-12 Network.
South Alabama (2-0) and UCLA (2-0) have never met, and the meeting will be the first for the Jags against a member of the Pac-12. The Jags have made the journey to California twice in school history, winning against UC-Davis (2010) and San Diego State (2015) in overtime; however, this will be the first time they will have ventured into the Rose Bowl for a contest.
The Jags enter the weekend off a 38-24 victory over Central Michigan behind 500-plus yards of total offense, including 354 through the air from quarterback
Carter Bradley. They sit in the top 35 in several categories nationally through the first two games including time of possession, total offense, passing offense, passing efficiency, total defense, rushing defense, passing efficiency defense, and turnover margin.
They will be facing a team in UCLA that is the top 35 in several categories, as well including scoring offense, total offense, rushing offense, passing offense, scoring defense, total defense, rushing defense, passing defense, passing efficiency defense, sacks per game, and tackles for loss. The Bruins enter the weekend following a 45-7 win over Alabama State, and this will be their third consecutive home game.

GAME NOTES
- South Alabama and UCLA meet for the first time in school history, and the game will be the first for the Jags against a member of the Pac-12.
- Jalen Wayne recorded his 100th career catch last weekend against Central Michigan on his way to a 10-catch day. He currently stands sixth all-time in school history with 107 grabs, just one behind Jamarius Way (108) and two behind Bryant Lavender (109) at number four.
- Carter Bradley was named to the Manning Award Star of the Week list after his three-touchdown performance against Central Michigan. He finished 26-of-41 for 354 yards, the fourth-most all-time for a single game in school history.
- La'Damian Webb scored a pair of touchdowns against Central Michigan, marking the second consecutive game he has achieved that mark.
- After a weekend in which they recorded 217 yards after catch (YAC), the Jags recorded 199 against Central Michigan this past weekend.
- South Alabama held their second opponent under 200 yards of offense in Central Michigan, holding the nation's returning leading rusher Lew Nichols to just 20 yards on 15 carries.
- Quentin Wilfawn continues to lead South Alabama defensively, recording six tackles in the win over the Chippewas, the second consecutive game he has led the team in tackles.
