NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference office announced the 18-game 2022-23 home and away men's basketball conference schedule on Tuesday.

Times, dates and television information will be announced at a later date.

The South Alabama men's basketball team will open up its league schedule with two road games in Georgia, followed by four straight home games at the Mitchell Center. 

The Jaguars will start the season with road games against Georgia Southern (Dec. 29) and Georgia State on New Years Eve. South then begins its conference home slate with four-straight home games against Arkansas State (Jan. 5), Texas State (Jan. 7), James Madison (Jan. 12) and Louisiana (Jan. 14). 

The Jags then hit the road again for matchups against Southern Miss (Jan. 19) and Coastal Carolina (Jan. 21) before returning home to the Mitchell Center to host Old Dominion on Jan. 26 and in-state rival Troy on Jan. 28. 

South continues its road schedule with matchups at Arkansas State (Feb. 2), at ULM (Feb. 4) and at Troy (Feb. 9).  

The Jags wrap up the home slate with contests against Appalachian State (Feb. 11), Southern Miss (Feb. 16) and ULM (Feb. 18). 

USA will conclude the regular season conference schedule at Texas State (Feb. 22) and at Louisiana (Feb. 24). 

The Sun Belt Conference Tournament is scheduled for March 1-6, at the Pensacola Bay Center in Pensacola, Fla.
