MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama women's golfer Carlota Garcia earned a career-best finish at the UNF Collegiate March 7-8 at Jacksonville Golf & Country Club in Jacksonville, Fla.

Garcia (70-71-74) finished tied for seventh after carding a career-low 1-under par total of 215 in three rounds, aided by a career-low 2-under par 70 in the opening round of the tournament. Siti Shaari (72-73-72) earned her fifth top-10 finish of the season, finishing tied for ninth with a three-round 1-over par total of 217.

South Alabama will return to action March 20-22 when it hosts the Bama Beach Bash in Gulf Shores, Ala.

- The tournament marked a career-best finish for Garcia, as well as a career-low three-round total. 
- Garcia's 2-under par 70 in the opening round marked a career low.
- Garcia tied for the lead among the field in par-four scoring with a 2-under par average of 3.93.
- Hovland played par fives at a 4-under par average of 4.67, and played par threes at a 1-under par average of 2.92 strokes.
- Both Garcia and Uyeshiro carded eagles in the tournament. Garcia's eagle came at the par four 18th hole in round one, while Uyeshiro's came at the par five 14th in round two.
- Garcia ranked tied for third in the tournament in birdies (12), while Shaari ranked tied for fifth with 11 birdies in three rounds.
