South Alabama owns a 50-27 all-time lead over Auburn in a series that dates back to 1968. Auburn has won the last three meetings in the series. USA's last win in the series came in 2017 in a 14-3 win at Auburn. The Jags are 3-5 all-time against Auburn under head coach Mark Calvi.

SIMINGTON IN NATIONAL, SBC RANKINGS
Right fielder Miles Simington enters the week ranked 16th nationally in batting average (.455), which leads the Sun Belt Conference. Simington also ranks seventh in the country in hits per game (1.88), and ranks tied for first in the conference in triples (2), second in hits (30), tied for fourth in RBIs (21), seventh in total bases (42) and slugging percentage (.636), and tied for seventh in OBP (.500).

HIT STREAKS, ON-BASE STREAKS
Simington carries a team-best 16-game on-base streak into Tuesday's contest, followed by Charles Middleton at eight consecutive games. Middleton carries the team's longest hit streak into the week with a seven-game streak, followed by Will Turner at five consecutive games.

JAGS IN NATIONAL, SBC RANKINGS
South Alabama ranks fourth nationally in hits allowed per nine innings (6.20), sixth in WHIP (1.05), seventh in ERA (2.64), and 22nd in sacrifice bunts (13). USA leads the Sun Belt Conference in ERA, opposing batting average (.193), fewest hits allowed (115), runs allowed (62), earned runs allowed (49) and walks allowed (60). The Jags rank third in the league in batting average (.294), runs scored (134), hits allowed (191) and RBIs (117).

JAGS DURING WIN STREAK
South Alabama enters Tuesday's contest with a seven-game win streak, which ties its previous season-long win streak from Feb. 25 - March 6. During its current seven-game streak, the Jags are batting .325 with 13 doubles, one triple, 11 home runs, 56 RBIs, 59 runs scored, 10 stolen bases and .413 team on-base percentage. Defensively, the Jaguars have fielded .982 during the streak, while the pitching staff has posted a 2.49 ERA, two saves, one shutout, 57 strikeouts and 22 walks in 65 innings while limiting opponents to a .185 batting average. Charles Middleton has batted a team-best .517 (15-for-29) with one double, four home runs, 12 RBIs, nine runs scored, .966 slugging percentage and .576 OBP in that span.

JAG LONGBALLS
South Alabama has hit 12 home runs in its last eight games, dating back to a March 8 contest at Southern Miss, and has homered in four straight games entering Tuesday's matchup with Auburn. Santi Montiel has hit five home runs in his last seven games dating back to the March 11 series opener at Jacksonville State. 

JAGS IN COLLEGIATE BASEBALL RANKINGS
South Alabama was ranked No. 29 in this week's Collegiate Baseball News top-30 poll, marking the first time this season the Jags have been ranked by an organization.

JAG OFFENSIVE PRODUCTION
The South Alabama offense has scored 10 or more runs in its last three games, and has recorded 10 or more hits in seven straight contests entering Tuesday's game. The Jag offense has also recorded 10 or more RBIs in its last three games.

LEHRMANN LAST TIME OUT
Left-handed starting pitcher Tyler Lehrmann tied his career high in innings pitched with seven innings at New Orleans last Tuesday. Lehrmann allowed one run on six hits, and struck out three while issuing one walk to record his first win of the season in his second start of the year.

JAGUAR BULLPEN
The South Alabama bullpen carries a 2.47 ERA with seven saves, 76 strikeouts against 37 walks in 73 innings pitched and a .202 opponent batting average into Tuesday's game.

BOYD'S SCORELESS INNINGS STREAK
Right-handed reliever Jackson Boyd carries scoreless-innings streak of nine innings into the week. Boyd has not allowed a run in his last four appearances, dating back to March 6 against Middle Tennessee, and has recorded one save with nine strikeouts and one walk while allowing just four hits in that span. 

150 AND COUNTING
Shortstop Santi Montiel has started 150 consecutive games - every game since he joined the program in 2019 - with his 150th coming in Sunday's series finale with UT Arlington. 

5 OR FEWER
The Jaguars are 14-1 when allowing five or fewer runs this season, and 1-2 when opponents score six or more.

OUTHITTING THE OPPOSITION
South Alabama has outhit opponents in 15 of 18 games this season, with the exceptions coming on Feb. 20 against Tennessee Tech when the Jags and Golden Eagles finished with 11 hits apiece, March 8 at Southern Miss when USM outhit the Jaguars 9-5 and at New Orleans where the Privateers outhit USA 8-6.

LEADING AFTER 6 FRAMES
South Alabama is 11-0 when leading after six innings this season, 1-3 when trailing and 3-0 when the score is tied after six frames.

SCORING FIRST
The Jaguars are 9-1 this year when scoring first, and 6-2 when the opposition plates the first run.
