Jaguar Women's Basketball announces 3 signees for 2023-2024 class

MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama women's basketball head coach Terry Fowler announced three signees for the 2023-2024 basketball season on Wednesday. 

Cheyenne Pearson, Camryn Berry and Chrysta Narcisse will join the program starting in fall 2023.

Cheyenne Pearson 
Clay-Chalkville HS
Trussville, AL.
6'4 - Center

In her freshman year, Pearson averaged 6.9 points per game, 7.5 rebounds per game and 1.0 block per game. In her sophomore year, averaged 9 points per game, 11 rebounds per game and 2 blocks per game. She not play her junior year due to injury.

Fowler on Cheyenne: 
"Cheyenne adds size, physicality, production at the rim and has the ability to shoot the three. She is fearless on the court and will add a strong defensive presence. We are excited to welcome Cheyenne to JagNation!" 

Camryn Berry 
Luella HS
McDonough, GA

5'9 - Guard

Berry averaged 11 points per game and four assists per game her junior season. Helped lead Luella High School to the finals three years. Has four finals appearances and earned state runner up. Berry is also a three-time regional champion. 

Fowler on Berry: 
"Camryn will add depth to our team with her length, shooting and talent. She's a versatile guard with the ability to score, defend and rebound out of area. We are excited to welcome Camryn to JagNation!" 

Chrysta Narcisse 
Lafayette HS 

Lafayette, LA.
5'8 - Guard

Narcisse averaged 16 points per game, four steals per games, 5 rebounds per game and 3 assists per game during her time at Lafayette High School. She was named first team all-district and all-state, and was named MVP of her district and MVP of the Allstate Sugar Bowl Prep Classic. 

Fowler on Chrysta: 
"Chrysta is a high-ranked guard from Louisiana that adds an exciting style of play. She's an up-tempo, three level scorer and an aggressive defender. We are excited to welcome Chrysta to JagNation."
