JAG WOMEN’S GOLF TO HOST USA INTERCOLLEGIATE TO OPEN FALL SEASON

MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama women's golf team will host the USA Intercollegiate Sept. 4-6 at Robert Trent Jones' Magnolia Grove Crossings Course to open its fall season.

The tournament will consist of 54 holes over three days at Magnolia Grove, beginning with round one on Saturday. Round two will take place on Sunday, and the final round will be held on Monday.

TEE SHOTS 
- Hovland won individual medalist honors at last year's USA Intercollegiate with a three-round, 12-under par total of 204, which included a final-round 66 that tied the program record for the lowest single round. Her 12-under par 204 also marked the lowest three-round total in South Alabama women's golf history.
- Western Kentucky won the 2020 USA Intercollegiate with a three-round, 6-under par team total of 858.
- Hovland was voted the 2020-21 Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Player of the Year.
- South Alabama finished second at the 2020 USA Intercollegiate with a three-round, 3-over par total of 867.
- Hovland played par fives at the 2020 USA Intercollegiate at 7-under par for a stroke average of 4.42.
- Hovland carded 17 birdies over three rounds last year, and Siti Shaari finished with 11 birdies in the tournament.
