MOBILE, Ala.  – South Alabama has released its 2021 fall schedule with five tournaments for the fall season.

South will open the fall slate with the Thomasville Invitational in Thomasville, Ga. at the Glen Arven Country Club.

"I like our fall schedule," said head coach Nick Brochu. "I like our first tournament, which is definitely going to be useful for our two freshmen. We've got some guys on the team that need a lot of matches to get back into the groove. The Thomasville Invitational is perfect for that. It's on clay, so points are going to be longer and everybody is guaranteed four matches. That's a good way to start the fall, especially with those young guys."

September 25-26, the Jaguars will travel to Hattiesburg, Miss. for the Southern Miss Invitational.

The final three events of the fall will take place in Alabama as the Jags will compete in the Samford Invitational, the Birmingham College Invite and the ITA Regionals in Auburn, Ala.

"Our tournaments are spaced out from mid-September all the way to November," said Brochu. "So, that allows us to go out and play and assess what we did good and what we did wrong. We can then come back and work on it and then go test it again with another tournament. Our biggest tournament is definitely the ITA Regionals. That's our goal and that's the qualification for fall nationals."

"I'm looking at guys like Louis Delcour and Sebastien Collard that are looking forward to having a big fall. They know how important the fall is and how it gets you ready for the spring. For guys like Jack Clements, even though he is a newcomer, he has played two years of junior college and was ranked as one of the top players in the nation. So, he's definitely looking forward to the challenge of playing Division 1."
