THEY SAID IT
Head coach Nick Brochu
- On the NCAA Championships: "The team is very excited about this trip. This is what they have worked for all year, and they've put in so much effort. You get to this point by working hard, and it started this fall, and that's what we did. We were very fortunate to be able to play some tournaments in the fall. Our new and younger players got a lot of experience playing in the fall. Before school started, we were training hard. The whole semester has been crazy, so when we look back and realize what we've accomplished, it makes this trip such a treat.
"Yes, we are facing Florida, which is definitely a powerhouse. They are No. 1 in the nation and are well-coached. We played them three years ago, and they were very good back then as well. This year, the team has no pressure, and they're just going to go out there and swing. We're going to try to be ourselves because that is the best chance we have if we're going to compete and potentially win. This is the third season in a row that we are able to go to the NCAA and it's just a great feeling so we're looking forward to going to Gainesville to get some good practice in and get ready for Saturday."
