JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of South Alabama's freshmen Colette Uys and Bodine Degli-Umberti  closed out their 2021 season Saturday afternoon during the final day of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field East Preliminary Round at the Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla.

NOTES
- Freshman Uys placed 43rd in the discus throw after throwing a 40.65m mark on her first attempt, while freshman Degli-Umberti followed in the same event as she finished 44th with a mark of 40.32m.
- The Jaguars were two of the three student-athletes from the conference who qualified to compete in the discus throw at the NCAA East Preliminary Round.

UP NEXT
- Senior Autavia Fluker (hammer throw), redshirt freshman Francois Prinsloo (discus throw) and freshman Kyle Rademeyer (pole vault) will represent the Jaguars at the NCAA Outdoor Championship June 9-11 in Eugene, Oregon.
