USA TRACK & FIELD HEADS TO NCAA DIVISION I EAST PRELIMINARY ROUND

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.
– The University of South Alabama outdoor track & field teams will be sending 14 student-athletes to compete in the NCAA Division I East Preliminaries in Jacksonville, Fla. Wednesday through Saturday at the Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla.

THE FIELD
- The field comprises qualifying student-athletes from the 214 schools in the NCAA Division I East Region.

NOTES
Schedule Update
- Wednesday's field events will begin at 12:30 p.m. (CT) with the men's hammer throw and javelin throw, followed by the men's long jump and pole vault at 2 p.m. (CT). The first round of running events will begin at 5 p.m. with the men's 110m hurdles.
- The women's hammer throw and javelin throw are set for Thursday at 12:30 p.m. (CT), with the first round of the women's long jump and pole vault to follow at 2 p.m. (CT).
- The men will take the field Friday at 12 p.m. (CT) in the high jump, followed by the men's discus throw at 12:30 p.m. (CT). Friday's running events will open with the men's 4x100 medley relay at 4:30 p.m. (CT), with the men's 1500m starting shortly afterward at 4:45 p.m. (CT).
- South Alabama will close its competition on Saturday, with the women's high jump beginning at 12 p.m. (CT) and the women's 4x100 medley relay starting at 4:30 p.m. (CT).

Men's/Women's Qualifiers
- Senior Fluker voted the Sun Belt Outdoor Women's Most Outstanding Field Performer before earning her third consecutive trip to regionals with her Sun Belt hammer throw record of 68.17m victory at the SBC Outdoor Championship. Fluker also qualified for the shot put after her 16.00m performance at the USA Invitational on March 12. She is currently ranked No. 3 in the nation in the hammer throw.
- Making his first appearance to the NCAA East Preliminary Round, freshman Dorian Curry broke the school record in the high jump with his fourth-place PR height of 2.10m at the Crimson Tide Invitational on April 10.
- Freshman Rademeyer qualified for the pole vault after breaking the Jaguar Outdoor record of 5.40m at the Texas Relays on March 26.
- Freshman Bodine Delgi-Umberti punched her ticket to the NCAA Preliminary Round after setting the school record in the discus throw with a 51.19m mark at the USA Invitational.
- Redshirt freshman Prinsloo secured his spot at the NCAA Preliminary Round after throwing a personal best of 60.17m in the discus throw at the Southeastern-Conference Tune Up. Prinsloo has the third-best seed mark heading into regionals.
- Senior David Dolan jumped his way into qualifying in the pole vault at regionals with a PR mark of 5.30m at the Southern Miss Invitational.
- Junior Noah Mumme was victorious in the same event at the Southeastern-Conference Tune Up with a career-best mark of 5.15m, making him a qualifier at the NCAA regionals. His mark is currently the fifth-highest jump in the USA's all-time records.
- Senior Christian Ellis drew his second consecutive regionals appearance after his triple jump triumph at the SBC Outdoor Championship with a 15.50m leap.
-Senior Opont qualified for the shot put and the hammer throw after his remarkable performances this season. Opont recorded the best shot put throw in USA history with an 18.84m performance at Auburn's Tiger Track Classic on March 20. The senior posted a new hammer throw PR of 60.25m at LSU's Boots Garland Invitational on April 17.
- Freshman Colette Uys moved to third-best on the Jaguars' all-time list with a 50.47m throw at the Texas Relays on March 27 for her first trip to the East Region Preliminary Round.
- Junior Xavier Rogers's 400m time (46.60s) at the Sun Belt Outdoor Championship is the second-fastest time in Jaguar history and qualified the junior for his second consecutive East Region Preliminary Round appearance. His time is currently the third-fastest in the league.
- Redshirt sophomore Appling ran a 14.00s time at the SBC Outdoor Championship to earn his second consecutive trip to regionals.
