•  TUESDAY'S GAME SOLD OUT/AT CAPACITY •
The South Alabama Athletic Ticket Office announced Monday that Tuesday's baseball game vs. Southern Miss has hit the 25 percent social-distance capacity maximum for sales and is now sold out. A limited number of tickets have been held for South Alabama students to claim as walk-up on Tuesday with a valid university ID.

On the Radio:  The game will be broadcast live on Sports Talk 99.5 FM in Mobile, and also available through the iHeart Radio app. JT Crabtree will be on the call for play-by-play.

 All-Time Series
South Alabama owns a 64-38 all-time lead over Southern Miss in a series that dates back to 1967. The Jags have won three straight in the series after a 5-3 win earlier this season at Stanky Field, and a pair of wins in 2019. South Alabama is 12-8 all-time against Southern Miss under head coach Mark Calvi.

JAGS LEAD NATION IN SACRIFICE BUNTS
South Alabama enters the week as the nation's leader in sacrifice bunts with 16. Santi Montiel, Hunter Stokes and Reid Powers are tied for the Sun Belt Conference lead with three, which is tied for 21st nationally. 

JAGUAR PITCHING STAFF IN SBC RANKINGS
The Jaguar pitching staff enters the week as the Sun Belt leader in fewest home runs allowed (8), ranked second in ERA (3.87) and opposing batting average (.239), and third in strikeouts (150). 

JAGS HOMER 4 TIMES IN SERIES FINALE VS JSU
South Alabama hit four home runs in its 7-5 win over Jacksonville State in Sunday's series finale. Ethan Wilson hit two home runs, and Santi Montiel and Tommy van de Sanden added one apiece. It marked the first time USA has hit four home runs in a game since May 11, 2018, when it homered four times at UT-Arlington. 

PINCH-HIT HOME RUN
Tommy van de Sanden's pinch-hit home run in Sunday's series finale with Jacksonville State marked the first time a Jaguar pinch-hitter has hit a home run since Adam Wolfe on May 14, 2016, at Louisiana.

BOSWELL'S LAST START
Tuesday starter Matt Boswell struck out a career-high eight batters and issued one walk while allowing four runs on six hits and tying his season high in innings pitched with six without factoring in the decision in the March 9 loss at No. 23 Alabama.

BALGAARD TIED FOR LEAGUE LEAD IN DOUBLES
Caleb Balgaard enters Tuesday's game tied for the Sun Belt Conference lead in doubles (6). Balgaard has doubled just once in his last five games dating back to March 6 against Middle Tennessee. 

TWO-OUT RBIs
South Alabama has recorded 24 two-out RBIs this season, which accounts for 40 percent of its 60 total RBIs. Hunter Stokes leads the team with eight RBIs with two outs, followed by Michael Sandle and Ethan Wilson with four apiece.

DALTON TIED FOR LEAGUE LEAD IN WINS
Jaguar right-handed reliever Jase Dalton enters Tuesday's game tied for the Sun Belt Conference lead in wins (3), which ranks tied for eighth nationally. 

JAGS WHEN OUTHITTING THE OPPOSITION
South Alabama is 5-0 when outhitting the opposition this season, but is 1-4 when getting outhit and 1-4 when hits are tied.

RUNS ALLOWED OVER FINAL THREE INNINGS
South Alabama has allowed 41 total runs in the final three innings of games this season, while allowing 39 total runs in the first six innings of games this year.

SEASON HIGH IN HITS FOLLOWED BY SEASON LOW
South Alabama recorded a season-high 13 hits in its March 9 loss at No. 23 Alabama, but finished with a season-low one hit in the series opener with Jacksonville State on March 12, which came in the form of a double by Ethan Wilson.

JAGUAR DEFENSE SHARP IN JSU SERIES
South Alabama enters Tuesday's game with back-to-back- errorless contests after playing errorless ball in the final two games of the Jacksonville State series last weekend. The Jags committed just one error in three games last weekend, which came in the series opener. USA has been charged with at least one error in 11 of its 15 games this season. The Jags have committed multiple errors in eight games this year, including a season-high five in the series finale at Oral Roberts on Feb. 27.

89 AND COUNTING
Shortsop Santi Montiel has started in 89 consecutive games - every game since joining the program. He started all 56 games in 2019, in addition to all 18 games last season, and has started each game this year. 

WILSON NAMED TO GOLDEN SPIKES AWARD WATCH LIST
Ethan Wilson was selected to the 2021 USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award Preseason Watch List, marking the second straight season he has been named to the list. 

POWERS NAMED TO BUSTER POSEY AWARD WATCH LIST
Jaguar catcher Reid Powers was named to the 2021 Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Watch List on March 9. The award is given annually to the nation's top Division I catcher by The Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission. Semifinalists will be announced May 20, and finalists on June 7 with the winner to be named on a date that has not yet been determined.

WILSON NAMED PRESEASON SBC PLAYER OF THE YEAR, ALL-AMERICA
Ethan Wilson was named the 2021 Sun Belt Conference Preseason Player of the Year, marking the second straight season he was voted the league's top player in preseason voting. Wilson was also named Baseball America First-Team Preseason All-America, and Third-Team Preseason All-America by D1Baseball.

WILSON NAMED TO BOBBY BRAGAN COLLEGIATE SLUGGER AWARD WATCH LIST
Ethan Wilson was named to 2021 Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award watch list, which honors the nation's top collegiate hitter. Wilson was one of 48 student-athletes named to the watch list, and the lone Sun Belt Conference representative. The winner of the BBCSA will be announced in June at the Fort Worth Club in Fort Worth, Texas.
