MOBILE, Ala. - The University of South Alabama women's basketball team has canceled its contest against Appalachian State that was originally scheduled for Thursday. Due to a combination of injuries and COVID-19 protocols both teams were unable to meet the requirement for healthy players. 

According to Sun Belt Conference policy, the cancellation will be ruled a no-contest and will not be rescheduled.

The status of Saturday's game against Coastal Carolina will be determined at a later time.  

Fans holding tickets for Thursday's contest have the following options:

Season Ticket Holders:

All 2021-2022 South Alabama Women's Basketball season ticket holders may redeem their unused tickets from Thursday's contest for additional tickets to any remaining home game on the 2021-2022 schedule via the "Never Waste a Ticket" program. Redemption available ahead of future games by calling (251) 461-1USA or redeeming at the window at the Mitchell Center on the date of future game upon arrival.

Single/Individual game purchasers:

All December 30th individual game purchasers will automatically receive a refund for their purchase back to their original form of payment on Monday, January 3, 2022. If the purchaser would like to forgo a refund and instead exchange unused tickets for a remaining future home game on the 2021-2022 South Alabama Women's Basketball schedule, please email tickets@southalabama.edu the redemption game of your choice by 10:00 am on Monday, January 3, 2022.
