BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The University of South Alabama men's tennis team went 5-0 in singles Saturday, with three of the wins coming against Florida State at the Samford Invitational. South also added two wins in doubles competition against Lipscomb.

- On the player's performance in singles: In singles, I cannot say anything negative about it today. Everybody was pumped and aggressive. Even though it was the second day and we've been playing a lot of tennis, everybody looked fit and was focused. Of course, we had some ups and downs, but that's a tennis match. We stayed focused and we didn't' panic when Florida State tried to make a comeback. It was just great to watch the guys compete. Going perfect against Florida State and UAB, that is quite a statement. You can see with the guys in the group, that they are really walking the same path and are proud of themselves and so am I."

- On the doubles performance: "What a day. Doubles was good and the guys on courts two and three really took care of business. I was really happy to see the guys on court three make an adjustment after yesterday. We've made a few adjustments and switched a few guys and everything was clicking. The guys were focused and aggressive. So, I was very happy with the performance after yesterday.
