QUOTES
Head Coach Matt Luther
- On the tournament:
"The wind was blowing really hard on Monday. We battled it a little bit early on our first nine holes, but we had talked about it, planned for it and figured it out in the afternoon. The wind didn't blow in the final round, and we took advantage of it; it was good to see. The final round was as easy a 5-under (par) round as I have ever seen here. It was just really solid; nothing was super impressive, it was just really solid."
- On Malia Uyeshiro's final round:
"We now have almost a full lineup that can play number one for us on any given day, which is a great problem to have. Malia, kind of out of the clouds, ties the lowest round in program history; that is obviously great to see from a freshman who made a pile of birdies. We have a roster full of kids who can make birdies, and that's exciting."
- On where the team stands after the fall season:
"I think that is the best run of three tournaments that we may have ever had as a group. We just played super solid, and have a lot of room to grow. The freshmen are contributing, and our seniors haven't played particularly brilliantly, which we know they will in the spring. We're in a really good spot."
