MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama men's and women's track and field teams will begin the indoor season Friday at the Blazer Invite hosted by UAB at the Birmingham CrossPlex.

THE FIELD (12)
- Alabama State, Alcorn State, Belhaven, Florida Atlantic, Georgia State, Jackson State, Marshall, Mississippi University for Women, South Alabama, Tennessee Wesleyan, Troy, UAB

NOTES
- Last season, the women finished in fourth place while the men took fifth at the 2020 Sun Belt Indoor Track and Field Championships.
- The Jaguars return eight all-Sun Belt Conference performers from last indoor season: Christian Ellis (triple jump), Xavier Rogers (400m), Silje Lindstad (mile), Shay Lee (800m), Ina Edstrom (pole-vault), Carolien Millenaar (3000m), Susana Pudner (3000m) and Collin Yego (3000m).
- 43 student-athletes will make the trip to open up their indoor campaign, including 12 newcomers with the program.
- Field events are set to start at 10 a.m. with the men's high jump, while running events are scheduled to begin at noon with the women's 60m trails.
