QUOTES
Head Coach Matt Luther

- On the tournament:
"We saw a lot of good stuff. We were just solid; we kind of handled business. We got beat but we didn't beat ourselves, which is fantastic."

- On Julie Hovland's play:
"That's what hard work coming together looks like. She has been nothing but a growth-mindset for three years, and this is what it looks like. She is patient and does everything right; she is the model of the student-athlete you want in your program."

- On the team's focus:
"It just looked like any other tournament once we got to the tee. Had I not had a mask on, I would have forgotten this (COVID) was going on. I think that is great for everybody. It seemed like everyone in the field was just a little more happier than normal to be here. It is great to get a tournament in the books and kind of put the blueprint out for college golf of this is how you can do it."

- On improvements from the weekend:
"I think the foundation of what we are doing is here. We have two freshmen who are sophomores now with a year under their belts, and it is starting to show in the steadiness of their scores. Now is the fun part; it is time to start fine-tuning to win tournaments instead of finishing second."

- On handling COVID during the tournament:
"We had all negative test results for the entire field, and that's a testament to the responsibility and maturity of the student-athletes in our sport, as well as the diligence of administrators within each school and conference."

Julie Hovland
- On winning individual medalist honors:
"It has been a great week. I'm just excited to be back playing again, especially with my team and playing at home; it has just been great."

- On her 6-under par 66 in the final round:
"I was just hitting it in the fairway, hitting some greens and making some putts. It was really just boring golf."

- On what it means to win medalist honors in the first tournament of the season:
"It is really cool. This is my first individual win, and I am just really excited and thankful to be out here."
