The University of South Alabama soccer team seeks to continue its recent form against Georgia Southern and Georgia State. The pair of teams from the Peach State will come to The Cage Friday night and Sunday afternoon, respectively.

Georgia State will be the visitors Sunday afternoon with a start time of 1 p.m. Similar to Georgia Southern, the Panthers and Jaguars met twice last season, with USA winning both contests.

NOTES
- 130 Fans will be allowed at The Cage, or at Sage Park should the game relocate to that specific venue, and COVID guidelines will be in place requiring all people within the confines (with the exception of players on the field warming up or competing in the match) to wear a mask, and maintain social distancing.
- There will be no concessions available this weekend, but fans are allowed to bring bottled water into the stadium area.
- Of the team's 10 goals this season, eight have occurred in the second half.
- The squad has recorded eight assists on seven goals.
- The only goal with two assists was achieved when Cross played the ball to senior Deanna Green, whose cross led to the game-winning goal against Troy (9/20).
- Cross paced the squad with three of the teams' eight assists on the season.
- Five other student-athletes have one assists each.
- Two goals have been scored from the penalty spot with an additional coming off a free kick; each one made by McPartlan.
- The former-Manchester City player has extended her scoring streak to four games with a game-winning goal Friday and third goal on Sunday.
- The Lancashire, England, native is pacing the team in shots with 17 shots, nine of which have been on target.
- Freshman Anita Gudmundsdottir collected her first clean-sheet victory Sunday in Boone, N.C. The Kópavogur, Iceland, native was only forced to make one save over 90 minutes.
- Freshman Kailey Littleford picked up an assist in last Friday's Coastal Carolina match (9/25) at Conway, S.C., marking her first career point.

- Freshmen Morgan White and Izzy Ford have now played in the past three games. White has entered the game in the center-defensive midfield role, normally occupied by McPartlan; this allowed the junior to move forward into more of an attacking role. Ford has entered as a winger where she has been utilized as an attacking threat during Jaguar possession of the ball.

THEY SAID IT
Head coach Richard Moodie

- On continuing positive momentum: "We need to stay fit and healthy. That is the general fear right now, and it is shared across every team right now. We try to stay fit as best we can, but there's an added element with contact tracing and COVID. On the pitch, I think we are only scratching the surface with the capabilities of this team. We still have a few more players that can come into this team and make an impact."

- On goals scored in the second half: "I think for the coaching staff, we would love to say that it was all coaching, but a lot of it was training, pattern play and scenarios we think happen regularly in the game. A lot of the goals come down to the quality of players here. Take the example of [Morgan] Cross and [Ana] Helmert: Cross made a run inside and played a reverse ball to Helmert. We train that, but it is also two players on the same page. A lot of our goals are from getting the right people to the right place at the right time and everybody being on the same page."

- On the preparation: "We are at home and we will try to control the tempo of the game. We have an expectation of what the opponents may try to do, and we will adjust as needed. Offensively, we just need to keep track of our responsibilities and we excelled in that category against Appalachian State, on top of that, the defense came away with a clean sheet. For us, the perfect performance for us is being able to have the same offensive and defensive attributes."
