MOBILE, Ala. – Former South Alabama soccer midfielder Melina Descary signed with Sporting Club Jacksonville, the organization announced Thursday.

Descary joins a long line of former Jags signed to professional organizations, most recently including April Lantaigne and Monique Gray.

The Montréal native and former co-captain spent three seasons in Mobile. In 2025, Descary appeared in every match, starting all but one. She also played a major role in a Jaguar defense that ranked nationally in shutout percentage (7th, .611) and goals-against average (16th, .659).

Descary was also the only Jaguar to earn Sun Belt all-conference and all-tournament honors. Additionally, she was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region Second Team.
