MOBILE, Ala. – Former Jaguar striker Briana Morris signed with Aarhus Gymnastikforening Kvindefodbold in the Gjensidije Kvindeliga Elitedivisionen Friday at its facility in Arhus, Denmark.
More commonly known as AGF or AGF Fodbold (AGF Kvindefodbold for the women's team), Morris joins the club with the season in progress as the club has played six of 24 Elitedivisionen league matches.
The four-year letterwinner graduated from University of South Alabama last spring after being named 2019-20 female Student-Athlete of the year for the school.
In the 2019 season, Morris also earned Sun Belt Player of the year and Offensive Player of the year honors. She claimed the Most Outstanding Player award for the 2019 postseason Sun Belt Tournament.
Morris was a prolific offensive threat for the Jaguars recording 21 goals over her career. During her senior campaign, she notched 16 goals and had a total of 34 points, as both categories led the Sun Belt. Â
The Hoover, Ala., native suited up for Pensacola FC as well, pocketing 13 goals coupled with three assists over her final season with the team in the summer of 2019.
Morris joins former Jaguars Hannah Godfrey, Rio and Steffi Hardy playing professionally for a team in a top division of a European country. Godfrey plays for Tottenham Hotspur F.C. Women in the Football Association Women's Super League in England. Apollon Ladies F.C., in the Cypriot league in Cyprus, has the services of both Hardy sisters.
