-South's offense recorded 373 yards on 90 snaps, highlighted by a trio of quarterbacks combining to complete 24-of-43 attempts for 301 yards and three scores.

-Jaden Voisin posted the only takeaway of the day with an interception to end the second drive of the morning one snap after he had broken up a third-down pass.
-USA's defense made a stop on each of the first four possessions of the event, including forcing a pair of three-and-outs, before the offense got on the scoreboard.
-The unit forced six other three-and-outs in the scrimmage, ending two of those drives with sacks from Chris Henderson and Sheriff.
-Tolbert's two receptions came on back-to-back plays to wrap up the final possession that began on the offense's side of the 50-yard line.
-Trotter guided three of the Jaguar offense's four touchdown drives as he completed nine of his final 12 passes in the scrimmage.
-Devin Rockette broke up a pair of passes while adding two solo tackles.
-A total of 17 individuals caught at least one pass, with six members of that group accounting for multiple catches.

Head coach Steve Campbell
-On having the officials today and the weather: "It was good to have the referees because we saw some penalties that would hurt us in a real game on both sides of the ball.  Today was our ninth day of practice since last Thanksgiving and I wanted it to be cleaner than it was, but it wasn't.  It was good that we saw the things that we need to continue to improve upon.  We had a couple of offsides penalties on defense and a couple of holding calls that hurt drives.  We had the weather early, but I thought our players fought through the humidity well.  I don't think conditioning played a factor in the scrimmage.  I thought defensively, we played hard the entire scrimmage.  Offensively, I thought we played hard, but we're still not where we need to be execution-wise; we can't run the ball well enough right now in early downs and we're still having some trouble protecting the quarterback off the edge.  We have a lot left to work on."
-On what he was pleased with from today's scrimmage: "Offensively, I believe we only had one turnover and that was on fourth down, which was basically a punt.  We had turned the ball over more the other night so it was good to see that total decrease.  That was something that we wanted to improve upon.  We had a couple of explosive plays, but that was against some of the young guys on defense.  We have to give ourselves more of a chance to be more explosive offensively, that comes with being able to protect the quarterback and giving him time to make some throws.  We made a couple of plays, but I also feel that we left a couple of plays out there and then we didn't give ourselves an opportunity to make a couple of plays. We still have some ground to make up on both sides.  For being halfway through camp and with school starting on Monday, I feel they are playing with a lot of energy and passion.  That was good to see."
-On the kicking game: "I saw some good stuff. I thought Jack punted the ball well and that we covered well.  We covered every phase of the kicking game today.  We missed one field goal, but Diego hit everything else and a couple of long ones.  I thought Frankie (Onate) kicked the ball well for the most part.  We got some good work in on our kickoff coverage today and I liked our return game.  We were able to work a couple of different situations punting where we moved the ball over the field and then did a couple of sky kicks.  Whereas we still have some work to do offensively, I feel that we are closer to being on track with our special teams."
-On the importance of getting the ball to Kawaan Baker: "We need to get the ball to KB, Tolbert, Wayne and Caullin Lacy, those guys can make plays whenever you get them the ball.  Whenever we got the ball to KB today, he was able to make a play.  On the reverse the defense had it played pretty well, that was just a guy making a play.  We definitely need to get him the ball and make sure he's involved."

Senior WR Kawaan Baker
-On what he feels the offense did well in Saturday's scrimmage and what they need to work on: "What we need to work on more as an offense is the discipline, we need to not shoot ourselves in the foot on first down and play in front of the sticks more.  The good thing for us is we are making big plays when we get time.  When we get rolling, it's hard to stop us."
-On the difference between Wednesday's scrimmage and today: "Offensively, we had a slow start today but we were able to finish strong. That was an uplifting point for the offense."
-On the move he was able to make that turned a play from a loss to a big gain: "Coming into the play and seeing him [Chris Henderson] on the field, I knew that he was going to expect the reverse, he's such a disciplined player.  I just had to outrun him and beat him to the edge."
-On the different abilities he's able to bring to the offense: "The majority of the time, I'm just trying to start or make big plays to help get the offense going; I just try to keep the negative away from the offense.  When they give me the ball, they know they can trust me to do what I need to do and do what's best for the offense.  I'll do anything they need."
-On what he's seen out of the quarterbacks so far in camp: "I love those guys.  They're tough, they're smart, they know what they are doing with the ball and they are accurate; they've got it all.  I'm very pleased with my quarterbacks."

Junior S Keith Gallmon
-On what he saw out on the field and his thoughts on the performance of the defense in today's scrimmage: "The defense was able to fly around and make a lot of plays.  We were able to get some stops in the backfield and the defensive line was able to put pressure on the quarterbacks.  We also made a lot of plays in the secondary.  We did commit some penalties that we shouldn't have, but that is the main thing we need to work on."
-On if playing in the stadium and having officials made it feel more like a game-day atmosphere: "It almost did; we were just missing the fans, and that might be something we have to deal with [this season], but just being able to be out on the field with each other and playing hard in full pads was nice.  We are just blessed to be out here."
-On the defense feeding off each other and seemingly getting better each play: "From the start of the scrimmage it just seemed that each play our energy went up a level.  Every time someone made a play on defense we just hyped each other up and kept our energy up on the sideline.  That played a big part in our performance today."
-On the difference from Wednesday's scrimmage to today's: "We were able to execute some things more efficiently and cut down on some of the bad penalties we had in the other scrimmage.  We also flew around a lot better today; everybody ran to the football."

Senior DL Jeremiah Littles
-On the performance of the defense: "We were having fun out there today and I'm excited about that because the older guys were out there and the younger guys were getting after it and playing.  I think we had a lot of momentum early on, guys were coming off the edge and making plays.  We had young corners making picks.  Once we get all that energy going, there's nothing that can stop us."
-On how he feels the defense got better today compared to the first scrimmage: "We got after the quarterback better today.  We made a lot of fumble recoveries and the corners played pretty well today.  Overall, I just think we played well."
-On what it's like being able to play in the stadium after seeing how everything has progressed during his time at South: "It's crazy, honestly, because I can remember coming here for a visit during my junior year of high school and the plan to have an on-campus stadium has always been talked about.  When I started playing here, you just kept hearing 'We're waiting for a stadium, we're waiting for a stadium.'  Everything has come to life now and I'm very appreciative of it and also for the guys who came before us and paved the way, including the players who started the program.  I'm excited about it and blessed to be playing in it."

Junior QB Chance Lovertich
-On what he saw out on the field in the second scrimmage: "I saw a lot dudes flying around.  The defense got up on us the first couple of drives and were kind of handling us, but as the scrimmage went on our offensive line started protecting better and we were able to get the run game going which opened up the passing game."
-On how he feels he improved from scrimmage one to scrimmage two: "I feel I was able to make some quicker reads today.  They [the defense] were getting back there a little bit, but at the same time they were giving us time to make some throws down field; our receivers were making plays.  All we have to do is get the ball in their hands and they do the work."
-On where he feels the offense is at this point compared to the defense: "I think we're pretty even because every day you're seeing big plays on defense, but you're seeing big plays on offense as well.  You saw an interception today, but then you saw snags in the end zone by our wide receivers who went up and got the ball."
-On if he feels he is thinking out there or reacting: "I'm reacting right now.  Even though we weren't here going through the spring [during the quarantine] we were still able to go over the plays on Zoom and I was able to get in the playbook during that time and watch a lot of film.  I'm understanding the playbook well right now."

Sophomore QB Desmond Trotter
-On the performance of the offense in Saturday's scrimmage: "I think we did ok.  We started off slow, but as the scrimmage went on we were able to make a couple of big plays down the field, which gave us momentum to do better on the offensive side of the ball."
-On whether or not the weather conditions early on attributed to the slow start: "Not really, it was mainly about the execution.  The weather's always going to be there, there's nothing you can do about it.  You just have to be able to execute.  As long as we can execute through the weather, we'll be ok."
-On what the focus or game plan was for today's scrimmage: "We just wanted to be able to hit some plays that we didn't in the first scrimmage.  I wouldn't say that there necessarily was a 'game plan', it was more about execution."
-On what was better about today's scrimmage compared to the first: "I feel like the offensive line protected a little bit better today and gave us a little more time to make more plays.  We were able to throw downfield more."
-On Kawaan Baker: "KB is an exciting player, we try to get the ball into his hands as much as we can.  We've seen what he's able to do with it once we get it to him."
