SOUTH FOOTBALL TO MEET LOUISIANA TECH IN TWO-GAME SERIES

MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama Director of Athletics Dr. Joel Erdmann announced on Wednesday that the Jaguar football team will play a pair of future games against Louisiana Tech.

The Bulldogs will come to Hancock Whitney Stadium on Sept. 24, 2022, while the Jags will go to Ruston on Sept. 25, 2027.

The two schools first played a home-and-home series in 2017 and '18, with the second matchup in Mobile marking the debut of current South head coach Steve Campbell.

The Jaguars also have a home date set against Nicholls on Sept. 3, 2022, with visits scheduled Central Michigan and UCLA the following two weeks that fall.  As a result of the agreement, USA's home game against Bowling Green originally scheduled to be played that season is now slated for Sept. 16, 2028.

South also has games scheduled against current Conference USA members Southern Mississippi (Sept. 5 in Hattiesburg) and UAB (Sept. 26 in Mobile) this season, with the Golden Eagles coming to Hancock Whitney Stadium in 2021.  The Jags will also play a home-and-home series with North Texas beginning in Mobile in 2024 with the second contest in Denton the next fall.
