THEY SAID IT
Head coach Paul Brueske
- On the Jaguar Opener: "We had a lot of promising performances. The pole vaulters continue to get better and better; Ina, Noah and Evans all had good performances. We did have a lot of athletes that weren't competing because it is so close to the end of the indoor season and there are a few minor injuries we are trying to overcome. Overall, it was a promising performance. All in all, for a first meet it was a positive experience. We are going to come back and get to work these next two weeks and when we come back on the 20th I'm hopeful we will see more good performances."
- On Autavia Fluker's record-breaking performance: "One of the highlights was Tata [Autavia] Fluker broke the school record in the hammer by over one meter. That was fantastic, because Michaela Preachuk was a great thrower and a multiple-time conference champion. Tata has been working very hard for a long time and I believe that she has a lot left in her. Although she broke the record, I still think that she can and will throw further than she did today."
