MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama men's tennis head coach Nick Brochu announced the signing of Javier Montoya. Montoya will join the men's tennis team for the 2021-22 season.

"We are extremely happy to have Javi [Javier] join our team next year," Brochu said. "He is a very competitive and talented player. He has a solid baseline game, but he can also come to the net. He works hard and is very motivated. We cannot wait for Javi to join the Jags on campus!"

Montoya, a native of Madrid, Spain, is one of the top juniors and is one of the top 100 players overall in 2020 in Spain. He won the J ´hayber National Tournament U16 and was a finalist in the Madrid Masters U16. 

He helped his team earn the title of the 2020 Madrid teams Regional Championships.
