THEY SAID IT
Head Coach Nick Brochu
- On doubles: "Today was very disappointing. This morning we had a long rain delay. We had a good warm-up, but we started slowly in doubles. We did not show as much energy as our opponent, and the opponent took advantage of that. We saw some great competitive tennis from Clément [Marzol] and Julien [Evrard], who were able to bring in the win. Overall, we were not good in doubles, and that is not how we want to play doubles if we want to beat a solid team."
- On singles: "Some of our players did not take care of business, and it showed on the scoreboard. Everyone was competing hard, but at the same time, you have to hold down your serves and hold your own on the courts."
- On Sébastien's performance: "Sébastien [Collard] competed hard. Today was the first day I have seen him struggle this fall. He did not have a good day, but he managed to pull off the win. He showed a lot of maturity and took care of business."
- Moving forward: "Overall, it's definitely disappointing. That's not how we want all of our players to compete. They understand that there is a standard, but our performance was not up to par today. Tomorrow is a big day, and we hope to bounce back tomorrow."
