THEY SAID IT
Head Coach Nick Brochu
-
On the loss: "It is disappointing, but it is the first tournament of the year. The key today was to play with the energy we want to see in the spring. We missed a few targets in the first round of doubles, but overall, we still competed hard. We had to talk about how our fundamentals, goals, and strategies can reflect the score. This is why we play in the fall so we can go back home and work on those things to better prepare us for the spring. The more you play, the better you get."
-
Moving forward: "Today, we were focused on the process and not the results. In the process, we were able to focus a little better. It caused us to deliver the ball to the right target at the right time and we ended up coming out on top. It felt amazing to be on the courts again after a long break. We're going to have a meeting tonight about playing better tomorrow and improving our focus for better results."
