NEW ORLEANS – The University of South Alabama men's basketball program will have 10 home games in its Sun Belt Conference schedule released Tuesday.
The league will be utilizing a 20-game slate for the men's teams for the first time since 2015-16, and will feature games primarily on Thursdays and Saturdays, and travel partners.
USA opens at home on Dec. 19 with Appalachian State, followed two days later by Coastal Carolina, then resumes after the new year with road contests at Louisiana (Jan. 2), ULM (Jan. 4) and UT Arlington (Jan. 6).
South Alabama returns home Jan. 9 against Arkansas State and goes out to Little Rock on Jan. 11, before hosting Georgia State (Jan. 16) and Georgia Southern (Jan. 18).
The Jaguars travel to Arkansas State (Jan. 23) then welcome Little Rock to Mobile on Jan. 25 prior to starting a three-game road swing. The trip starts Jan. 30 at Georgia State and goes to Georgia Southern on Feb. 1 before wrapping up Feb. 8 at Troy.
Four of the last six games of the season are at home, starting with Louisiana (Feb. 13) and ULM (Feb. 15). The Jags go to Appalachian State (Feb. 20) and Coastal Carolina (Feb. 22) the next week, then finish up the year with home games against Troy (Feb. 29) and Texas State (March 3).
The first three rounds of the Sun Belt Tournament – March 7, 9 and 11 – will be held on campus sites. The semifinals and final will be held March 14-15 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.
