GREENWOOD, Ind. – University of South Alabama seniors Sean Collins and Jobi Finau were named to the 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men's Track & Field/Cross Country Team, as announced Tuesday by the College Sports Information Directors of America. The full list of honorees is available here.

Collins and Finau are among representatives from District 4, which includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Puerto Rico. Nominees must have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or greater and must be at least a sophomore. Both student-athletes are eligible for the Google Cloud Academic All-America® team to be announced in June.

Collins finished with a 3.65 GPA in his biology program and participated in USA's May commencement ceremony. During his career as a Jaguar, he won six Sun Belt pole vault titles, including four consecutive outdoor championships. He is a three-time All-American and two-time all-conference honoree and was voted Sun Belt Freshman of the Year in 2016 after setting new league indoor and outdoor pole vault records in his first season.

The Mobile, Ala., native qualified for the NCAA East Region Preliminary Round for the fourth time after eclipsing his outdoor personal-best mark with a 5.53m (18-01.75) vault at this year's conference championship. Collins placed sixth at regionals and will make his third NCAA Outdoor Championship appearance June 5-8 in Austin, Texas.

Collins has been named to the Sun Belt Conference Commissioner's List – recognizing student-athletes who maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher – three times. He received the USA Perseverance Award twice and was named the 2016 Freshman Scholar-Athlete during USA's Night of Champions.

Finau graduated from USA's exercise science program with a 3.67 GPA. He made his first NCAA East Region Preliminary Round appearance after recording a 51.13m (167-08.75) discus toss—his best since 2016—at this year's conference championship. The Pensacola, Fla., native earned all-Sun Belt recognition and third place on the Jaguar indoor performance list with an 18.41m (60-05.00) weight throw at the 2017 league meet. He ranks sixth in the USA outdoor discus records (51.41m, 168-08.00).

Finau is a two-time Commissioner's List honoree and has earned Sun Belt Academic Honor Roll (3.0-3.49 GPA) accolades twice.
